Exploring Tempi’po’op Trail in Santa Clara.Tempi’po’op (pronounced tumpee poo oop) means “rock writing” in Southern Paiute. The Tempi’po’op Trail traverses the geographic formation known as Land Hill, which was heavily used by both Ancestral Puebloans and Southern Paiute. This trail is also part of the Anasazi Trail.

We ventured out to find a petroglyph known as “the falling man” in an area just outside of the Valley of Fire called Whitney Pocket. We didn’t find “the falling man”, but we did have a great adventure!

Bronly and the Radfords came to visit the same weekend! Took them hiking to see some petroglyphs in a slot above Arch Canyon near Snow Canyon.
